The inescapable truth is that Britain is physically in Europe and no matter how expensive or badly managed the EU might be, sooner or later, in this world of increasingly interdependent economies that rely on cross boarder supply chains and become ever more dominated by countries much larger than anything in Europe, we are going to have to get along with our European brothers. Better start the process now and improve it later than find ourselves left out, when it’s too late, in the world our children must inherit. Any country that arrogantly believes it can survive alone is doomed to failure. Look at Albania.
