Just discovered that if floppy disk drive is switched on in the BIOS but there isn’t a floppy drive, that Windows 7 setup becomes extremely slow and appears to hang on each dialogue box. Disabled floppy drive in the BIOS and now the windows 7 setup doesn’t keep pausing and is much faster.
